Hispanics De-mystified
It is time for Hazletonians (idiots *see Institute Bulletin Poll*) to stop fearing the influx, the new immigration of Hispanics from the neighboring states of New Jersey and New York.
The denizens of Hazleton must now come to grips with this influx of a Hispanic population. The local powers-that-be invited them here from New Jersey and New York (among other places) anyway! However, it is important to understand that these Hispanic peoples are just that PEOPLE, a wave of immigration westward that is no different then the I-Ties, or the Slovaks, or the Irish and the Germans before them. There was a time when the I-ties were the new kids in town and the higher up ethnicities look down there nose at them for intruding as the established groups always look toward incoming populations. How soon the old dead wood of this town forgets such things. Since the local powers-that-be invited them here to work at all the freak slave shops of CANT DO, Hazleton must take responsibility for its actions. If the town wants to grow and expand to play the games of the big-boy cities then it must assume the same adult responsibility and the consequences of having people from metropolitan areas live here. Hazleton has to adjust. I know that’s asking way too much of the small-minded and bigoted populous, but believe it or not we are ALL people and ALL deserve a fair shake. Quite honestly, the Hispanic influx will probably suspend the death sentence of this backward town for a few more decades. And I feel sorry for them having to take up the slack of the lazy and the greedy big fish of this amazingly tiny pond. Dead wood of Hazleton, I implore you to learn to be objective of your fellow man, not suspicious. These people have to live and work just as we all do. They’re not taking anything we are not already casting aside anyway. Aw, to Hell with it. Deadwood of Hazleton, GROW UP ALREADY!
Police Kiosk* Comes to Wyoming Street
That’s right. The Hazleton Police are acquiring a vacant building on Wyoming Street in the SCARY Latino quarter because terrified and ignorant Hazletonians are living in fear of the unknown. But on the bright side, having a corner store police shop will not only very probably raise taxes it will give the city police some where to jerk-off on their shifts. Out of sight of the court house, out of mind and everyone is happy. Yeee! Again, all together now HISPANICS ARE PEOPLE!
*A light ornamental structure used as a news stand, band stand, etc.
Hike and Bike Event coming May 16
On the one hand this is a great idea and I’m all for it. People around here need to get out and hike more and not be slumped in front of the television all the time or cooped up in a factory with no windows. I myself need to get out more and hike and such. But the thing is why do we need someone to organize such a thing? Well, that’s because you can no longer just head out into the woods anymore and you SHOULD be able to just do that. Everything is posted or blocked off and there’s usually some lunatic with a shotgun that is cartoonishly protecting his land. Git off uh my property! *Fuzzy Lumpkins* And that’s really a shame. And ya gotta watch out for drunken hunters too provided you can find some spare bit of woods to meander around in. Everything is so tight assed and everyone is full of suspicion. I say if you can find a place to go get some air and stretch your legs then do it, but keep in mind unless ya like tripping over coal banks that probably means traveling out of this dump!
