President pokes fun at state of Hazleton’s roads
“Mayor Lou Barletta is with us from Hazleton, Pennsylvania,” President Bush announced at a visit to Lackawanna County adding, “Hey Lou. Fill the potholes.” This received a roar of laughter from the crowd. Mayor Lou don’t care. He probably just shrugged it off. You watch. He’ll run for office and climb the ladder despite his ineffectual governing abilities. He’s got his sights set on the Senate, ya know. I say it is scary to think of him managing anything beside his own money clip and I’m not sure he’s qualified to do that! I know with the above statement from our chief of state, ol’ Bushy (number 43) got my vote! And I ain’t no Republican! I just wish he’d shut up about Florida. If they didn’t make their houses outta straw they wouldn’t be in such a state, er mess! Yee-haw Jeb!

Hours after the Bush joke a crew of three men from Michael Mussoline’s Emmy’s Coal and Paving were paving the streets…for FREE? Even the Standard Speaker found that amusing!
